​Apples can be eaten whole, sliced, or dipped in nut butter.  For a healthy alternative to apple pie, try slicing, tossing in walnut oil, lightly seasoning with cinnamon and salt, and sprinkling with chopped walnuts then bake at 400 degrees until apples are soft (about 50 minutes to an hour). You can dollop with vanilla Greek yogurt or simply eat as is.
