"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." - Benjamin Franklin

Why so expensive?

I can join Weight Watchers, a local fitness challenge with meal plans included, or even my local gym  for a lot less. Why should I pay so much for Shaun's services?

Shaun understands her rates may seem high to some, but her fees reflect her level of expertise, the value of her time as a professional, and the hours upon hours she invests behind the scenes. As stated before, this is not Weight Watchers or a local gym membership. And while there is nothing innately wrong with programs like Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig and/or programming at your local gym, too many people are still struggling. So while these programs are valuable assets, alone, they are simply not working for a lot of people. Some people need more.

Shaun believes that we can't keep putting band-aids over gapping wounds. We need to do it and do it right so that people can get back to the business of leading healthy, fulfilling lives. So they can throw their stack of dusty diet books and as-seen-on-TV fitness gadgets away.

She realizes the services she offers are an investment, an investment in your health, your future, and in your family's future.

Some things to keep in mind:
  • standard hourly rate for a plumber ranges from $45 - $200/hour with an average cost per visit of $306
  • standard hourly rate for an electrician is $50-$100/hour with a typical visit averaging $315
  • standard physical therapy charge for an insured patient is $250-$275/30-45 minute visit and possible double that for an initial evaluation, while actual discounted reimbursement averages between $100-$150 dollar/30-45 minute visit.
  •  an apple iPhone 8 starts at around $600.
  • on average, hair highlights can cost anywhere from $75-$250.
  •  in 2017 the average monthly car payment for a new car was $479 with insurance averaging $125/month.
  • based on data from ehealthinsurance, a CNN article estimated that in 2016 the average individual spent $3,852 on health insurance, and if they met their deductible, another $4,358, for a total of $8,210.
  •  standard cost to remodel a bathroom???? (you get my point)

How do you put a value on being healthy? What is the cost of feeling good? How do you quantify setting a good example for your friend, family, and peers? Bottom line, if you think being healthy is too expensive, wait until you get sick.
